Pinch-hitter Mike Carp singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Red Sox past the White Sox 4-3 and earn a split in the four-game series at Fenway Park. David Ortiz hit a two-run double in the sixth after Jackie Bradley Junior singled in a run earlier in the frame for the BoSox, who have won two in-a-row since a four-game skid. Andrew Miller picked up the win in relief. Conor Gillaspie belted a game-tying two-run homer in the top of the ninth for Chicago. Jose Abreu had two hits and an RBI while Ronald Belisario fell to 3-and-6 with the loss.

Chicago is the big winner in Major League Baseball's Final Vote. Fans have selected Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo and White Sox pitcher Chris Sale to the final All-Star roster spots for the National and American League squads. Rizzo and Sale will be the 34th members of each team. The All-Star Game is Tuesday at Minnesota's Target Field.
