White Sox shutout Boston

Scott Carroll and two relievers combined on a two-hit shutout as the White Sox blanked the Red Sox 4-0 in the opener of the four-game series at Fenway Park. Carroll allowed just one hit and two walks over six-and-two-thirds innings as he improved to 3-and-5. Dayan Viciedo  smacked a three-run homer and Adam Dunn added a solo shot for the Pale Hose, who have won four of five. Jackie Bradley Jr. had a hit and a walk for the Red Sox, who have lost three straight and six of their last seven overall. Clay Buchholz allowed all four runs in seven frames as he fell to 3-and-5 with the loss.

Game #2 of the series can be heard on Newstalk 1060.
