Brewers win, Cardinal lose

Carlos Gomez hit a three-run homer as the Brewers topped the Rockies 7-4 at Miller Park. Jonathan Lucroy went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run, while Ryan Braun finished 2-for-4 knocking in two and scoring twice. Matt Garza allowed four runs in six-and-two-thirds innings but moved to 5-and-5, while Francisco Rodriguez notched his 27th save. Milwaukee has won four straight. Jhoulys Chacin gave up seven runs in five-and-two-thirds innings, falling to 1-and-7 for Colorado. Drew Stubbs went 3-for-4 with an RBI and D.J. LeMahie had two hits and drove in two for the Rockies, who have dropped four in-a-row and 11 of their last 12.

Zach Greinke struck out 10 in seven innings of one-run ball to help the Dodgers to a 9-1 win over the Cardinals at Dodger Stadium.  Greinke improves to 10-and-4 with the win for Los Angeles, which has won four of five.  Juan Uribe drove in two runs and Dee Gordon and Adrian Gonzalez each chipped in an RBI.  Lance Lynn fell to 8-and-6 after getting rocked for six earned runs in just two frames of work in the team's four-hit effort.  Matt Carpenter hit a solo shot in the third for the Cards' lone run.
