Joe Mauer doubled in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Twins topped the White Sox 4-2 at Target Field. Kurt Suzuki drove in an insurance run in the eighth on a sac-fly. Mauer plated two runs and Josh Willingham homered for the Twins, who snapped a five-game losing streak. Yohan Pino tossed seven innings of two-run ball in his Major League debut, while Casey Fien picked up the win. Glen Perkins closed it out for his 18th save. Conor Gillaspie knocked in both runs for Chicago, which had won its previous two. Jake Petricka suffered the loss.
