Cubs shutout for 2nd straight day

Tim Lincecum  and five relievers combined on a two-hitter as the Giants shut out the Cubs 5-0 at AT&T Park. Chicago was held without a hit until John Baker singled with one out in the top of the seventh inning off reliever Jeremy Affeldt. Lincecum walked four and fanned five over the first five innings, but threw 96 pitches in the process. George Kontos got the win. Pablo Sandoval went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Hector Sanchez doubled in two runs as San Francisco took two-of-three in the series. Edwin Jackson struck out nine in five-and-a-third innings but fell to 3-and-5.

The Cubs have the day off. They play in Milwaukee on Friday
