Chris Sale allowed a hit over six scoreless innings as the White Sox dropped the Yankees 3-2 from U.S. Cellular Field. He struck out 10 in his first start since mid April. Sale improved to 4-and-0 as the Sox won for the third time in four games. Adam Eaton was 2-for-4 with an RBI while Ronald Belisario notched his second save. David Phelps allowed two runs and struck out eight over seven innings for the loss. Mark Teixeira knocked in both runs for New York, which has lost three of four.
