It was a good weekend for Michelle Dobbs of Rochelle as she won 1 race and anchored a relay team to 1st place as she ran for the University of Chicago at the 2014 University Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
The event took place on Saturday and yesterday in Chicago.
Dobbs, a freshman at University of Chicago, won the 800 race with a time of 2:14.98. She has won every 800 race this year other than the NCAA Indoor National Championships.
Michelle also anchored the 1600 meter relay for Chicago which came in 1st place.
University of Chicago finished in 2nd place to Washington University in St. Louis at the UAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
UChicago will take part on Thursday at the Dr. Keeler Invitational at North Central College in Naperville.
