White Sox lose in 14 Innings, Cubs shutout twice in New York

Jackie Bradley Jr. hit a two-run double in the 14th inning to lift the Red Sox over the White Sox 6-4 at U.S. Cellular Field. Dustin Pedroia went 2-for-4 and scored three times. Clay Buchholz allowed three runs in six innings of work while striking out six. Chris Capuano struck out three in two and a third frames to pick up the win while Burke Badenhop [[ BADE-en-hop ]] got the save. Alexei Ramirez cracked a two-run homer in the sixth for his only hit of the game. Tyler Flowers had a two-out RBI single in the 11th to extend the game. Infielder Leury Garcia took the loss after allowing two runs in just one inning of action.

Final game of the series is tonight. The Pre-Game Show begins at 6:35 on Newstalk 1060.

Michael Pineda  and three relievers combined for a six-hit shutout as the Yankees blanked the Cubs 2-0 to sweep the day-night doubleheader at Yankee Stadium.  Pineda gave up just four hits and a walk over six innings as he improved to 2-and-1.  Adam Warren closed it out for his first save.  Scott Sizemore plated a run and scored on Brett Gardner's RBI-single for the Yanks, who have won four straight.  Travis Wood allowed two runs over five-and-two-thirds frames as he fell to 0-and-2.  Masahiro Tanaka and Shawn Kelly combined on a three-hitter as the Yankees blanked the Cubs 3-0 in the opener.  Chicago was shut out in both games of a doubleheader for the first time since 1962.
