Cubs win 1st game in Pittsburgh

Mike Olt homered and Jason Hammel pitched into the seventh inning as the Cubs held on to beat the Pirates 3-2 at PNC Park. Anthony Rizzo singled in a run for Chicago, which built a 3-0 lead in the third inning and hung on from there for their first win of the season. Hammel allowed just two hits and one run over six-and-two-thirds innings for the victory. Pedro Strop  pitched the ninth for his first save as the Cubs salvaged the finale of the three-game series. Wandy Rodriguez gave up three runs in six innings to take the loss for Pittsburgh. Tony Sanchez singled in both Bucs' runs in the seventh.

The Cubs have their home opener today at Wrigley Field against the Philadelphia Phillies
