Grant Prusator of Rochelle has verbally committed to play college basketball nest season at Indiana State University in Terre Haute. He will sign the letter of intent in April. Prusator played this past season at Highland Community College in Freeport. As a freshman he averaged 13 points per game and had 114, 3 pointers, which was 5th in the country for division 1 junior college. He also shot 90 percent from the free throw line. In his final game with Highland he scored 32 points in the national tournament game. He was also being recruited by Eastern Illinois and Illinois State.
There was a boys track meet Tuesday at Westwood in Sterling. Sterling won the meet with 84 points, Freeport was second with 51, and Rochelle scored 10 points. For the Hubs, Nick Dreska was second in both the long jump and pole vault.
The Lady Hubs softball game with Oregon was postponed yesterday due to the weather.
The Hubs baseball team will travel to Southern Illinois this weekend. The Hubs play Harrisburg on Friday, and Carterville on Saturday.
