Chicago Bulls star point guard Derrick Rose will miss the remainder of the
season after undergoing knee surgery Monday morning. Rose hurt his right knee
during Friday's loss in Portland and the Bulls learned the 2010-11 MVP would
need surgery to have torn meniscus repaired, but were still hoping he could
return this season. Instead, Rose will be limited to just 10 games this season
after missing all of the 2012-13 campaign while recovering from a torn ACL in
his left knee. The 25-year-old Memphis product posted averages of 15.9 points,
4.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds this year.
