Jonathan Toews recorded a goal and three assists to lead the Blackhawks to a 6-3 victory over the Jets at the MTS Centre. The Hawks came out strong and held a 12-2 shot advantage at the end of the first period. Both offenses exploded in the second with a combined three goals in 48 seconds and five overall in the period. Patrick Kane and Marian Hossa each added a goal and an assist, while Brandon Saad, Ben Smith and Patrick Sharp all scored to lift Chicago to 15-4-and-4. Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien each had a goal and an assist in the loss. The Jets fell to 10-11-and-3.
