The Flagg-Rochelle Community Park district has received a $10,000 check as part of a 50/50 matching grant from Commonwealth Edison for invasive control work at Skare Park.
The 1st priority at the park will be to treat the wild parsnip in the prairie areas.
Work will also be done for the common reed in the wetland sedge meadow areas.
The final upgrades will be done on the reed canary grass on the wetland sedge meadow area.
Skare Park is located west of Rochelle.
