A Creston man has been arrested after he allegedly struck a individual in the head with a metal bar used to check air in tires.
Rochelle police arrested 39-year old Christopher Fant on the felony offense of aggravated battery.
The altercation took place a short time after 9:30 at 129 South 6th street in Rochelle. The male victim received treatment for his laceration to his head at Rochelle Community Hospital.
Fant remains in jail today with no bond set on the felony offense. He will appear before a judge later today.
