One person was injured following a one vehicle rollover accident early this morning in the 7900 block of North River Road in Byron. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies say a car driven by 32 year old Andrew Muldowney of Byron, was southbound on River Road when it drove off the roadway, rolled several times and came to rest on River Road. Muldowney was extricated from the vehicle by the Byron Fire Department. Muldowney was transported to Rockford Memorial Hospital for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Muldowney was arrested for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol and will appear in court at a later date. Ogle County Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Byron Police Department. The accident occurrred at 2:20 this morning.
There were no injuries following a two vehicle accident near the intersection of Route 251 and Big Mound Road Thursday afternoon. The Ogle County Sheriff's Office reports that a vehicle driven by 24 year old Brandon Meyers of Amboy was driving northbound on 251 when it entered into the southbound lane of traffic, and sideswiped a Semi Tractor. There was minor damage to both vehicles and no reported injuries. Meyers was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended and Obstructing Identification. He was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
