Two people including a girl under ten-years-old are dead following late night shootings around Chicago. According to the "Tribune" the girl and a woman were killed during an incident in the Little Village neighborhood on the city's South Side. The same shooting left a man in his 20's in critical condition with a gunshot to the head.
Chicago police are looking into the recent shootings of the very young. The "Tribune" says in the last month alone eight kids age seven and younger have been involved in shooting incidents. Most of those shootings happened on the city's south and west sides. None of the victims had connections to gang activity which has authorities stumped.
