Law enforcement officials are cracking down on motorcycle riders, especially between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. IDOT Traffic Safety Interim Director John Webber says data reveals quite a few riders on the roads during those times are drunk. New data reveals motorcycle riders are getting behind the wheel drunk, especially during the late afternoon and early evening hours. Data reveals riders on the roads in the late afternoon and early evening have a blood-alcohol content more than double that of all other drivers. Authorities want to make it clear that motorcycle riders who drive under the influence will be arrested.
