2 Semi Accident on I-39

One person was injured following a two vehicle accident on I-39 near a construction zone Wednesday afternoon.  Illinois State Police report that a semi driven by 33 year old Ashlee Jackson of Flatwoods, Kentucky was southbound on I-39 when she slowed down for congested traffic approaching a construction area.  A semi traveling directly behind her driven by 58 year old David Wilson of Yankton, South Dakota failed to slow, striking the rear of the trailer being pulled by the Jackson vehicle causing the trailer to break open and spill its contents on to the roadway.  A passenger, 37 year old Gregory Clark of Newport, Arkansas was transported to Swedish American Hospital by Stillman Valley Ambulance.  Wilson was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.  State Police were assisted by Stillman Valley Fire and Ambulance, The Ogle County Sheriffs Office and IDOT.
