The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced that starting on Monday, there will be 3 weeks of grinding and paving work on I-39 in Ogle and Winnebago Counties.
The 13 work locations are between I-88 and US 20. IDOT workers will be performing daytime activities Monday through Thursday during the 3 week period.
Drivers will be restricted to 1 lane of traffic on I-39 for short work areas.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and drive carefully through all construction zones.
