A Mt. Morris minister plead not guilty in Ogle County court yesterday in connection with an alleged sexual abuse incident that took place over 2 years ago.
64-year old Charles Babler has been charged with the felony offense of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
The alleged incident took place in early 2011 as Babler had contact with a girl under the age of 13 years old.
He is the former campus pastor of the Crossroads Community Church in Polo. Babler also worked at the church's facility in Freeport at 1 time. He is currently on administrative leave.
In court yesterday, Babler waived his preliminary hearing and demanded a jury trial. He returns to court on August 12th for a pre-trial conference.
Babler is out of jail following the posting of a $50,000 bond.
