The unemployment rate is down in Illinois. Nearly 12-thousand people found work last month, pushing the unemployment rate down to nine-point-one percent. Most of the jobs were in the construction field. It’s the second month in a row the state has seen improvements but the state’s unemployment rate is still much higher than the national rate of seven-point-six percent.
