A Rochelle man died from blunt trauma to the head on Wednesday afternoon following a car vs motorcycle crash in the Hub City.

21-year old Caleb Holder was pronounced dead at Rochelle Community Hospital from injuries suffered from the accident.

Reports indicate that Holder was riding his motorcycle south bound on Illinois 251 near Lakeview Drive. He was struck from behind by a car driven by 40-year old Erick Steffins of Rochelle.

An autopsy was performed on the body yesterday afternoon in Oregon.

Rochelle Police Chief Eric Higby said that at this time, no tickets have been handed out from the accident, but it remains under investigation.
