Property owners in Ogle County are reminded that the 1st installment on their tax bill is due today.
Ogle County expects to collect just over 118 million dollars this year. The figure is a little more than 2 million dollars from 2012.
The increase was due to the Byron Nuclear Power Plant, farm land in the area, along with the industrial growth in Rochelle.
People can pay their property tax bill at the treasurer's office in Oregon, by mail, or at area financial institutions.
They can also use the state's E-Pay program.
The 2nd installment is due on September 6th.
