Creston village board meeting

Winners from last month's Consolidated Election were sworn into office last night during the Creston Village board meeting.

Tom Byro remains as President of the board while Deanne Haub as Village Clerk. Also re-elected as Trustees were Scott Garrison, Terry Daugherty, Curt Ward, and Lynda Gould.

Progress is being made on the installation of water meters in homes. Around 60 are left as 38 meters were installed last month.

The well control bid was approved at a cost of $12,500. Some of the controls were installed in the 1980's.

Kip Countryman was named as the new building inspector for the village. He has worked for the city of Rochelle for the past 5 years. Countryman will receive the same fee schedule established by the board.

Residents in Creston are reminded that the golf cart license renewals are due by June 1st.
