A 19-year old teen was arrested in Byron early yesterday morning following a shooting that took place in Durand Saturday evening.
Edward Wayne Evans was arrested on the charge with armed robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm.
The incident took place in Saelens Park in Durand. The victim was 17-year old Brandon Wanker of Durand. He was treated and released for his injuries at a Rockford Hospital.
Police are also looking for a 2nd juvenile in connection with the shooting.
Evans remains in the Winnebago County jail with no bond set.
Ogle County Sheriff's police along with the Byron Police Department assisted in the arrest yesterday.
