Officials in Rochelle would like to remind area truck drivers that starting today, overweight trucks traveling within the city limits on designated routes must have a permit.
Daily permit fees range from $25 to $80 depending on the weight of the truck. Annual permits are also available to companies.
Trucks exceeding 150,000 pounds will be assessed a fee determined by City Manager David Plyman.

Permits may also be obtained at the Rochelle Building and Engineering Department at 417 North 6th Street, across from City Hall.
