Fans of the University of Illinois have one thing to say about the school's announcement yesterday it was renaming Assembly Hall the State Farm Center -- they hate it. Effective immediately. the 50-year-old home to Illini basketball will be re-named for the major insurance carrier thanks to a 30-year naming rights deal with State Farm worth 60-million bucks. Fans are telling various media outlets they refuse to bow to the university's corporate decision and will continue to call their venerable building "Assembly Hall."
