A Bloomingdale man suffered serious injuries yesterday evening after he crashed his motorcycle in rural Stillman Valley.
The accident took place a short time after 6 in the 14 thousand block of East Route 72.
Reports indicate that 65-year old James Ostien was east bound on Route 72 when he lost control of his motorcycle in the curve.
Ostein was thrown from the vehicle as it over turned in the south ditch.
He was airlifted from the scene by React helicopter to Rockford Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Ostien was ticketed for improper lane usage by Ogle County sheriff's police.
