Robert Willis has been named interim superintendent in the Meridian School District.
He holds the same position right now in the Rockford School District.
Willis' 1st day on the job will be July 1st. He will work 100 days during the 2013-14 school year and be paid $650 a day.
The Meridan School district is faced with some major financial problems right now like other districts around the state. Their tax referendum was voted down by residents earlier this month.
The district is also looking at hiring a high school and junior high principal along an athletic director in the near future.
Willis agreed to a 1-year contract with the district.
The Meridan School District has around 2,000 students attending 4 schools.
