A Rochelle man is back on the streets today following a drug bust at a local business Tuesday.
55-year old Donald Mazzanti was arrested on the charge of unlawful possession of cocaine and synthetic urine along with unlawful use of a weapon which was brass knuckles. Other charges include unlawful possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
Police say that the synthetic urine was being sold to individuals who were attempting to defeat work place drug testing.
The arrest took place at Custom Cowhide at 404 Cherry Avenue in Rochelle, the residence of Mazzanti. The search warrant was the result of a drug investigation for the past several months by Ogle County Sheriff's police and Rochelle officers.
An Ogle County judge set bond at $10,000 yesterday in which Mazzanti posted 10 percent or $1,000. He was given a court date of Friday in Oregon for a hearing.
