Village officials in Hillcrest will meet tonight at 7 with several issues on the agenda. The gathering takes place at the Village Hall building.
The discussion will include a proposal from Leaf River Communications dealing with wireless internet service for residents in Hillcrest. The company would like to install 3 to 4 dishes and wiring on the cat walk of the water tower.
The contract with the village would be for 5 years. Village Hall will have free internet. The monthly cost for a home would range between $35 to $59 a month.
Department reports will also be heard this evening as the Hillcrest village board meeting is open to the public.
