Rochelle police are investigating a hit and run incident last night in which the driver left the scene.
The accident took place a short time after 8:30 on the Dement Road overpass. Local police say that the driver struck the guard rail with his car. The vehicle then slid into the ditch.
The driver then left he scene.
Police searched for the individual for a period of time. The driver was not located.
The car was towed from the ditch..
