The Rochelle fire department responded to an alarm yesterday evening at Suite 26 in the San Gabriel Assisted Living facility along Flagg Road.
The incident took place a short time before 6.
A spokesmen from the fire department said that there were no flames in the suite. The alarm was set off by steam from some boiling water.
Departments from Rochelle and Steward also responded to a couple of grass fires along I-39 yesterday afternoon a short time before 4:30.
The fires were about a half mile apart and involved about 150 feet of flames of smoke on the east shoulder of the north bound lane of I-39. Both grass fires took place just south of Rochelle.
The cause of the smoke remains unknown. The flames were put out in a short period of time.
