Most of the state's metro areas saw increases in unemployment in February compared with a year ago. Of the 12 metro areas in Illinois, only the Quad Cities and the Metro East areas had slight decreases. Decatur has the state's highest jobless rate, 13-point-seven-percent, up from ten-point-nine-percent in February 2012. Rockford's rate jumped from 13-percent to 13-point-four-percent. The Chicago area's jobless rate was up one-point-two-percent, year over year, to ten-point-three percent.
