Rockford woman arrested in Stillman Valley home burglary

Ogle County sheriff's police have arrested a Rockford woman in connection with a residential burglary which took place earlier this month in rural Stillman Valley.

23-year old Amber Stearns has been charged with the felony offense of residential burglary.

The break-in occurred on March 18th in the 7,000 block of East Route 72, about 1 1/2 miles west of Stillman Valley.

Taken from the home was a TV set, a 12 gauge shotgun, along with a playstation game system.

Sheriff's police have recovered some of the stolen property in Rockford.

Stearns returns to Ogle County court on April 3rd for a preliminary hearing. At that time, she will plead guilty or innocent to the felony offense.
