Oregon man back in court following drug bust

An Oregon man was back in Ogle County court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing following a drug bust which took place last month in Daysville.

29-year old Richard Gallagher was arrested on the charge of unlawful possession with the intent to deliver cannabis along with possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of firearm ammunition by a felon.

Police executed the search warrant in the 2,000 block of south 2nd Street in Daysville. They seized around 86 grams of marijuana along with numerous items of drug paraphernalia, digital scales, and firearm ammunition.

A co-defendant is the case is 22-year old Brooke Lozano of Oregon.

In court yesterday, Gallagher waived his preliminary hearing and plead not guilty to the charges. He was given a pre-trial conference date of April 8th in Oregon.

Gallagher is out of jail following the posting of 10 percent of a $50,000 bond.
