The Rochelle Middle School Math team will take part tomorrow in the state Mathcounts event being held in Lisle.
The math team qualified for the state competition after placing 1st place last month at the Mathcounts competiton held at Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon. The Rock River chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers organized the event.
Alex Harvey of Rochelle came in 1st place in the individual competition while Alec Tilton of Rochelle finished in 4th place.
Byron Middle School also had 2 individuals qualify for the state competition tomorrow, Lane Watson and Taylor Conley.
Winners in the state competition will move on to the National Mathcounts event in Washington D.C. on May 10th.
