The meeting between the Rochelle City Council and Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District board scheduled for this evening at 5:30 has been canceled.
Both taxing bodies were scheduled to talk about their intergovernmental agreement in the purchase of the golf course in Rochelle. The price tag would be $800,000 for the 73.5 acres of land as it would be shared at $400,000 each for the city and park district.
Gredco would also be involved with the facility in a 3-year lease agreement for the golf course and building. They are expected to sub-lease to an operator for the restaurant in the future.
The meeting was canceled due to some recent changes in the lease agreement involving Gredco.
A meeting between the city, park district, and Gredco will take place at a future date.
