Negotiations continued last night between bargaining teams in the Dixon school district as the teacher's strike enters it's 6th day.
This is the 1st teacher's strike in the district since 1983.
The union was scheduled to bring to the table yesterday a new proposal dealing with health insurance and retirement benefts. Money and benefits remain the key issues in the new contract.
The 168 teachers in the union walked off their jobs last Thursday at the 5 public schools in Dixon. The union has been working without a contract since late August.
