Using a cell phone while driving could be banned in Illinois soon

Using a hand-held cell phone while driving in Illinois is a step closer to being banned. The Illinois House has approved a bill which will go the state Senate. Sponsor John D'Amico of Chicago says a state law would end the uncertainty faced by drivers moving through communities that may or may not have bans in place. The bill contains exemptions for emergency personnel and hands-free devices.
