Area residents are digging themselves out of another winter snow storm today as between 3 to 5 inches fell yesterday afternoon and evening in Northern Illinois.
Plows have been out since yesterday afternoon as the major highways are clear. Many of the secondary roads have ice and blowing snow which could make travel difficult at times.
There have been no reports of any school closings in the area at this time.
