None of the students from Rochelle Township High School or Byron High School finished in the top 6 in competition this past weekend at the State Speech Tournament held in Peoria.
RTHS had 3 students participate in the event. Tyler Molet was involved in Humorous Interpretation and Special Occasional Speaking while John Whitman was in Extemporaneous Speaking and Udta Persuad in Poetry Reading.
Chris Sible from Byron High School took part in the Original Comedy competition.
Normal U-High finished in 1st place with a team score of 29 points. Downers Grove South High School came in 2nd place with 26 points.
