Officials from the Meridan School District held their 2nd public meeting last night dealing with the referendum that will be on the ballot this April.
The district is looking at a 1.25 million dollar tax levy to relieve part of their deficit which is just under 2 million dollars. The referendum would increase property taxes for residents in the Meridian School district if it passes this spring.
Any possible cuts involving programs in the district if the referendum fails will be talked about during the school board meeting on March 4th.
