Ogle County sheriff's police have arrested a Leaf River man in connection with an armed robbery which took place on January 13th at a gas station.
42-year old Ronald Medlin has been charged with the felony offense.
The hold-up occurred at the Citgo gas station on Route 72 in Leaf River. Medlin allegedly displayed a knife and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the business. No one suffered any injuries during the armed robbery.
He has also been charged with residential burglary following a break-in to a home in rural Leaf River on December 18th.
Bond has been set at $250,000 for Medlin. He is currently in the Winnebago County jail in Rockford for another offense.
Medlin was on parole from the Department of Corrections for a previous armed robbery that took place in
St. Charles.
