Rochelle woman back in court on drug charges

A Rochelle woman plead not guilty in Ogle County court yesterday following a drug arrest last December in the Hub City.

35-year old Julia Rorah has been charged with the felony offense of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Police seized 8 grams of cocaine during the arrest.

Rorah has also been charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and 2 counts of drug paraphernalia. Between 2.5 to 10 grams of marijuana was seized by police.

The arrest came about when police assisted the Illinois Department of Corrections parole agents at 1152 Westview Drive in Rochelle.

In court yesterday, Rorah waived her preliminary hearing and plead not guilty to the charges. She was given a court date of next Monday for a pre-trial conference.

Rorah remains in jail on 2 bonds which total $150,000.
