Village officials in Hillcrest will meet in special session this evening at 6:30 as the discussion will center around their sanitary sewer project.
The board will hold a public hearing dealing with their community development block grant for the project.
Village officials plan to apply to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity dealing with the grant that totals $450,000. The sanitary sewer would be installed in a 3 block area. The work will be done in the 300 and 400 blocks of Scott Avenue, the 200 and 300 blocks of Jeffery Avenue, and on Hillcrest Avenue in the 300 and 400 blocks.
The village also plans to spend $112,500 in non-grant money funds for the sanitary sewer project. $100,000 will come from a Build Illinois grant and $12,500 in their water fund.
Residents in Hillcrest can ask questions about the project during the hearing tonight.
