Rochelle police arrested a Stillman Valley teen Saturday night following a chase that involved the K-9 Unit.
The original call came in as a retail theft incident at Walmart. The 15-year old boy allegedly stole a knife from the store and then took off running from the business.
With the assistance from the Rochelle K-9 Unit, the dog tracked down the teen hiding near some trees by the quarry at around 8 Saturday evening.
Police say that the boy's mother did not know that he had stolen the knife and ran from police. She had been looking for the teen in the store.
The boy has been charged with retail theft and will appear in juvenile court at a later date.
