TV cameras will soon be allowed to capture court trials in Lake, Kendall, and DeKalb Counties. The state's Supreme Court started a pilot program one year ago, but gave circuit courts in those areas the green light to participate yesterday. There are a few stipulations though. The presiding judge over any case would have to approve the cameras in the courtroom and set guidelines, plaintiffs and defendants can object to having cameras roll during the trial, and cameras aren't allowed in cases where juveniles are involved.
