Schools will likely take another cut thanks to the state's pension troubles. If education funding is actually cut by 400-million dollars, it would be the third year in a row funding has been slashed, totaling about 800-million bucks. A Quinn spokesperson says the pension costs are forcing cuts in several vital areas of government, and says things will only get worse if the 96-billion dollar pension liability isn't dealt with.
