Corn production drops sharply in Illinois

Drought conditions are taking a drastic toll on corn production in the state. The harvest is at its lowest level since 1988. The Agriculture Department says production fell by more than 50 bushels per acre last year, compared with the previous year. The yield was 105 bushels per acre.
